[Bug 692187] Re: desktop fails to appear without enabling failsafe graphics first
** Summary changed:
- window bars fail to appear
+ desktop fails to appear without enabling failsafe graphics first
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: xorg
- Not sure if this is metacity or compiz problem in Natty, but the window
- bars do not appear. Also having to resort to recovery mode GRUB entry to
- drop down to X failsafe mode, after which I can reboot and choose the
- normal Ubuntu boot option and it works fine, apart from the window bars
- as above.
+ Ubuntu 11.04 fails to boot to gdm login. I have to go to the recovery
+ mode GRUB entry to drop down to X failsafe mode, after which I can
+ reboot and choose the normal Ubuntu boot option and it works fine.
