Hm, current karmic /usr/share/X11/xkb/keycodes/evdev has

        <I129> = 129;   // #define KEY_KPCOMMA             121
        // For Brazilian ABNT2
        alias <KPPT> = <I129>;

which still looks pretty much the same as in the upstream bug:

Does changing the alias line to

  <KPPT> = 129

work for you?
