[Bug 649809] Re: Meerkat (10.10) does not apply theme properly
This is effecting my machine as well. Brand new (Built Tuesday) with a
fresh install of 10.10 64bit. 2 out 5 times the my profile is affected.
Another profile which is default in every way has the same problem. I've
attached the xsession-error log from my profile.
Also, I have a 32-bit version installed on the 250gb drive which doesn't
experience the bug.
i7950
12gb ram
nVidia 1GB GTS450 (OC'd)
WD 1TB HDD @7200rpm
WD 250GB HDD @5000???rpm
-- is everybody there having the issue using a nvidia card with nvidia binary drivers installed?
I have and am having the issue
-- how did you install the nvidia drivers?
Installed the binary via Ubuntu suggesting it.
-- do you get the issue using nouveau?
Not when I've used it, but I haven't used it a great deal
-- can you change the theme in the gnome-appearance-properties dialog?
Yes but only partially. The top panel (my only panel), Nautilis and the desktop context menu remain unchanged. Applications have the theme applied, and context menus are themed within the applicaiton.
-- is starting it enough to get your theme used?
Most times this will apply the theme to the panel, however Nautilis and the desktop context menu are remain unchanged.
Hope this helps?
