[Bug 670663] [NEW] Unusable system after resume from suspend on Toshiba A660

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: pm-utils

Suspending to RAM appears to work OK, screen blanks, and power LED
flashes slowly. However, after resuming from suspend, the desktop is
barely responsive. One or a combination of the following are observed:

- the screen remains black
- the mouse cursor is not rendered
- Gnome panel system monitor pauses for long (few seconds) periods.

The problem occurs after every resume, but worked without issue on
Lucid. No flashing caps-lock. Changing to a terminal using Ctrl+alt+f1
works, but working with the terminal is still very laggy.

Attached are dmesg from immediately after a resume from suspend using:
sudo sh -c "sync; echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace; pm-suspend"
Also, lsmod.

Please give guidance on any further info required.

Charlie
