Steve can you confirm this issue still exists with the most recent
-intel driver?  In our previous snapshot KMS was not allowing EDID to be
exported to gnome-settings-daemon, however I cherrypicked a patch in
2:2.7.99.1+git20090602.ec2fde7c-0ubuntu5 on july 1st which purportedly
fixes it.  That patch is included in the upstream version we now have in
the current snapshot.

Anyway, my guess is that this is now fixed, but if not let me know and
I'll stick it upstream for more analysis.
