[Bug 711296] Re: package xserver-xorg-core 2:1.9.0.902-1ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: installing xserver-xorg-core would break existing software
Hi Mark (and reporters of dupes),
This is an expected (and good) thing. Since a new xserver went in
yesterday, all the drivers needed rebuilt against the new ABI else
they'd totally hose up your system. So while those builds were under
way, xserver would refuse to install itself and give this error message.
By now the builds are done and propagated to most of the mirrors.
(There might be some slower mirrors out there still working at it, but
the main mirrors should be done).
Can you all re-update and re-upgrade and report here as you have
success?
If you still have trouble upgrading, please paste in the error output.
