Hi team,
Well done on such an amazing platform :).

id like to report a bug In Ubuntu 10.04 & 10.10 and Xubuntu 10.04 that
affects how UI elements respond to the left mouse button. Im
experiencing issues with firefox tabs intermittently closing when i left
click them, it doesnt matter what the page content is simple or flash or
if my CPU is under load or not. ive tried changing all of the touchpad
settings on my laptop but to no avail (currently i have disable mouse
when typing enabled, disable double tap left click and disable trackpad
scrolling).

The mouse is also causing problems when typing, if im using open office
or office 2007 in wine/crossover linux and am typing in the input area,
when i left click within the input area text will randomly paste into
the existing text, some times its from the clipboard other times it will
be part of the sentence i last typed. this issue also happens in firefox
when using HTML input boxes.

ive looked around and im not the only person this is happening to:

Im using a Compaq Presario C500 with a core2duo processor, 2gb of ram and intel graphics card. My touchpad works fine in windows XP (dual boot system) and ive never experienced this issue with this laptop on any other OS
