[Bug 723072] Re: Synaptics is obsolete
** Description changed:
- Binary package hint: synaptic
+ Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
Dear sir or madam or robot,
because of the announcement (http://www.synaptics.com/solutions/technology/gestures/touchpad-linux) that your touchpads are now fully supported by some Linux distributions, or the gesture suite receives a Linux porting, I have acquired a Toshiba Satellite L670-1DL. Unfortunately, I now had to notice that the support is limited to OEM customers. I, as the end user, choose with my purchase which products are being recognized on the market. Sadly, no of your products meet my claims. I have a "Multitouchpad" from your home and can't use it because of vain restrictions. This harms our relationship.
Open the source!
Greetings,
Martin Kauffmann
PS.: This is more than a bugreport, than a open letter ;-)
