[Bug 385497] Re: [i965GM] PPA version 2:2.7.1-0ubuntu1~xup~1 doesn't let me suspend
Once again launchpad has swallowed an answer by email without a trace.
Here we go again. What's wrong with launchpad?

1. I did boot into the ISO
2. Suspend while CD/DVD drive was working: didn't work, machine didn't go
to sleep and came back to the desktop after an interlude on the
console. dmesg showed lots and lots of backtraces from the kernel. I
didn't save /var/log/kern.log
3. I suspended again, 5s later. It worked
4. Again. It worked.
5. Reboot
6. Suspend while DVD working: suspended without problem
7. Again: no problem
8. Reboot
9. Suspend while DVD working: suspended without problem
10 Waited for a couple of seconds, suspend: didn't work, came back.
This time I saved the kern.log. Attached.
I doubt the later is an X.org problem though. And I forgot to save Xorg.0.log too.
I also tried to play a video to verify whether it works, since the
current version in jaunty will immediately crash when I play a DVD.
Unfortunately Totem wouldn't read any of my videos on disk, be they mp1|2|4, ogm, avi, mpeg, since it lacked decoders. I wonder what good a movie player on a Live
disk is, that can't play *any* movie?
