[Bug 759397] [NEW] syndaemon hogging cpu

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: synaptic

Description:	Ubuntu Natty (development branch)
Release:	11.04

synaptic:
  Installed: 0.75.1ubuntu2
  Candidate: 0.75.1ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 0.75.1ubuntu2 0
        500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Every once in a while my whole system gets slowed down and everything
feels sluggish. When I check top, I see syndaemon eating up all
available resources. If I log out and log back in my computer is usable
for a day or two before syndaemon starts causing problems again.
