[Bug 746174] Re: screen corruption with "quiet splash" on macbook air (nvidia 320M)

Using the same hardware (MBA 3,1) I've had the same screen corruption on every alpha and beta release of natty so far. The corruption happens with nouveau only, and can only be avoided by either:
  1. Adding the kernel option "nomodeset"; or
  2. Installing the proprietary Nvidia driver, which prevents nouveau from getting in the way.

Under natty, simply removing "quiet splash" from the boot options does
not fix it at all. Only "nomodeset" works.

The corruption appears to be an LVDS signalling/frequency/sync problem.
