Ok, this confirms what Emmanuel was seeing. At this point, I don't think
I can easily debug the issue remotely, and I can't seem to trigger it on
my systems. I'll push the workaround patch to Ubuntu, but I'm hoping
someone else will be able to come along and debug it some more.
