[Bug 314310] [NEW] Installing Nvidia 6600GT restricted driver using Component Video [yPbPr]] via included dongle

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I have the display connected using component video dongle YPbPr to 32
inch high definition television (Sceptre Komodo x32gv). Ubuntu detects
it as an unknown monitor. Component video quality is much better than
vga. The installer fails due to included technical info. After rebooting
I am atleast capable of a 1024x768 resolution but only in blue and
white. Adjusting the color setting does not change anything except the
brightness. I made attempts to use other versions included in
"restricted drivers" only to get the same issue.
