[Bug 585647] Re: [i965gm] X crash: "i830_uxa_prepare_access: bo map failed"

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xorg

  Twice since upgrading to Kubuntu Lucid four weeks ago I have had the
  system crash, taking my current work with it. Both times my system had
  been running for two days. Based on my usage, I expect that I was
  running low on RAM, but had lots of swap. Xorg hadn't crashed on me in
  years until I upgraded to Lucid. I have attached the system profile
  pulled by apport. I inspected all the logs on my system both times and
  didn't see much relevant to the crash. I have included the relevant
  excerpts below.

  -----------------------------------------------------------------
  Xorg.log says:

  <snip lots of repeat>
      (WW) intel(0): i830_uxa_prepare_access: bo map failed

      Fatal server error:
      Failed to map batchbuffer: Cannot allocate memory
