[Bug 770042] Re: X locks up, mouse moves but screen unresponsive.

** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Incomplete

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xorg

  A few points of interest.

  1. I can SSH in. htop shows one of the processors being used at 55-75%
  by /usr/bin/X :0 -br -verbose -auth /var/run/gdm/auth-for-gdm-
  fqZYoh/database -nolisten tcp

However, alt-sysrq-h and alt-sysrq-r do not work.

  2. This is repeatable by going to the same website in Firefox: the first
  PIC in
  http://reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/gvm1w/i_work_in_a_brothel_photo_validation_ama/
  .

  3. this runs with no xorg.conf - xconfigurator gets confused when I try
to run it, presumably because it's a new sandy bridge laptop with dual
  nvidia/intel video. (But that's a different bug.)

  4. "[mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite
loop." seems to be a common thread in the logs. However, this particular
lockup doesn't seem to show it in Xorg.0.log.

[mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop.
