I have the same problem on Acer Aspire 5920g with nVidia 8600G and
driver setting start at startup session as demon (2second watch at
sturtup session the logo nVidia)

Now when i start a session i have created a icon launcher to start unity (same as command) and i run that first on all.
So i don't save the icon that i added at unity launcher (right panel auto-hide).
