[Bug 685682] Re: [fglrx] compiz crashed with SIGSEGV in nux::IOpenGLSurface::UnlockRect()
Is the black box problem mentioned by John Oliver #57 fixed
Quote:
Just got Beta 1 and installed the updated fglrx driver. (It was not
installed already). The Unity shell resembled a number of 'black
squares' jumbled up on the screen. While Unity/Compiz were running other
applications flashed as well. However, when I ran sudo killall compiz,
all the other apps that were open stopped flashing.
Additionally, when using the standard Gnome 2.x desktop, there is no
flashing whatsoever despite the fact that compiz is running.
I'm running 11.04, 2.6.38-7. upon installing ATI/AMD FGLRX from Additional Drivers I got this problem mentioned above as well. It looks like the Panels are all black yet the desktop and non moving parts of application windows appear normal. Moving parts like loading bars are black as well.
I have a ATI Radeon HD Mobility 5650. My Laptop Serial is A665D-S6509.
