[Bug 723215] Re: package nvidia-current 195.36.24-0ubuntu1~10.04 failed to install/upgrade: nvidia-current kernel module failed to build
Hello Eric
Well, then this is surely a false positive, but to definively close this report can you please verify that your
/var/log/dmesg
don't contain lines like these:
[3230592.658574] ata3.00: status: { DRDY ERR }
[3230592.658577] ata3.00: error: { UNC }
[3230592.672231] ata3.00: configured for UDMA/133
[3230592.672246] ata3: EH complete
[3230594.543334] ata3.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x0
[3230594.543340] ata3.00: BMDMA stat 0x4
[3230594.543345] ata3.00: failed command: READ DMA
[3230594.543352] ata3.00: cmd c8/00:00:49:82:8f/00:00:00:00:00/e0 tag 0 dma 131072 in
[3230594.543354] res 51/40:00:ed:82:8f/40:00:00:00:00/e0 Emask 0x9 (media error)
Simply open the file with gedit and search for' EH complete ' don't have to highlight nothing.
Thanks
Fabio
