The solution is to manually edit xorg.conf after installation of nVidia
driver.

adding line under Section "Screen"

Option "UseDisplayDevice" "DFP"

and

Subsection "Display" Modes  "1360x768"

After driver install, reBooting into system using live boot "CD" and
adding xorg.conf with the necessary lines solves black screen and menu's
from being outside of viewable monitor area.
