[Bug 772207] Re: version 173.14.30 is buggy for NVidia GeForce FX series

 

I found this thread when I noticed when running the Additional Drivers
app that I also see 2 selections. First one is titled "NVIDIA
accelerated graphics driver 173", the 2nd one is called "NVIDIA
accelerated graphics driver (version current) [Recommended].  It appears
that my card should work with the other driver, just wondering what the
difference between these two sets of drivers are. Version 173 in the
Additional Drivers window says "this driver is not activated" while the
one with the moniker (version current) says "this driver is active but
not currently in use" Let me know if I can post any other info to help:

I will attempt to run version 173 and come back after testing it.
