[Bug 740462] Re: Xorg-nvidia crashes when running on Battery
I also have this problem on my HP Elitebook 8640w. (i7 CPU, 8Gb RAM, Nvidia Quadro FX 2800m).
When I unplug the power cable xorg restarts every couple of minutes. My laptop is useless then....
The only solution is to plugin the power cable, or completely disable acpi (acpi=off as kernel param).
I've been searching in several logfiles to find some more useful information (backtraces, errors, or something).
But I can't find anything. There's no backtrace in the xorg log.
When someone can give me a tip where to look for useful logging, I will get it and post it!
