[Bug 733724] Re: OpenGL based games crash randomly

I can confirm that this bug is happening to me in Natty, but it never
used to happen. Also, like the author of this report, compiz seems to
work fine, although it uses opengl. I don't use a screensaver, so I
can't confirm whether or not it happens on that too. However, it seems
that any opengl application I run will eventually crash (e.g. Games
like; Minecraft, Scorched3D, Blockland, etc.). Also, I'm not sure if
this is related in any way, but sometimes when I use an opengl app, I
can't see anything behind it, such as when I switch to another window.
e.g. I'm running a game, and I try to switch to Evolution to check my
email, but the opengl screen stays on top (visually, at least, I can
still interact with the window I switch to), with a little bit of
flickering. Is this an issue with Natty, or perhaps my drivers? I'm
using the open source RadeonHD drivers. Oh, and one other thing, instead
of only the opengl app crashing, my entire computer crashes. It just
shuts down instantly. This bug is really annoying me, as I can't play
any of my games. Anybody know of a fix for this?
