[Bug 793764] Re: Top area of screen black when rotating screen

 

I have a ThinkPad X220T (convertible tablet)  which has Intel graphics
as well. I have the same issue when I rotate using xrandr manually, or
with the screen resolution applet. The area of screen which is "blank"
is still usable by the dock and menubar, but does not seem to have
rotated properly.  See the attached screenshots. landscape and portrait
show the problem (similar to the OP), and normal and "borken" show the
Ubuntu "dash" (or whatever it is called). As you can see, it fills the
screen (1366x768 on this machine) in landscape, but appears to still be
"1366x768 when rotated.
