Hi,
Can you answer these questions please?
1.) Have you applied all updates to Ubuntu 11.04? Run update-manager and make sure it doesn't have any updates
2.) What graphics card exactly do you have? Run in a terminal 'lscpi -v' and attach the output as a file here (or make a comment with the output).
As you can see this bug is a duplicate of another one, but I would like
to see if it can be fixed in your situation.
