Message #13281
[Bug 343892] Re: New upstream release (96.43.13)
** Summary changed:
- New upstream release (96.43.11)
+ New upstream release (96.43.13)
** Description changed:
A new official legacy driver release has been released: http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_x86_96.43.11.html
New in .11 is:
* Fixed a bug that could trigger kernel BUG() failures when stress testing setup/teardown paths.
It's been reported on IRC that this has fixed the problem where X
freezes when logging out of KDE (bug 202855), so it'd really be great if
this could get in for Jaunty.
+
+ Now there's a 96.43.13 release:
+
+ Fixed miscellaneous nvidia-installer bugs.
+ Updated nvidia-bug-report.sh to automatically compress its log file; running `nvidia-bug-report.sh` now produces "nvidia-bug-report.log.gz".
+ Fixed an nvidia-settings crash when xorg.conf contains Device and Screen sections but no ServerLayout section.
+ Improved compatibility with recent Linux kernels.
