[Bug 788069] Re: Radeon X800 PRO display problems in ubuntu 11.04 with special effects
Thank You for changing the package; this made the thing work better,
e.g. no more problems closing tabs in firefox, and sometimes even well.
But still the effect appears, obviously depending on the graphical
performance a program or website requires. If it is e.g. possible to
enlarge the website, often the screen gets clear. A video running on a
small part of the screen or small letters will rather cause the effect
of pixel distortion than greater letters or a full-screen clip. When
trying to log in on launchpad this time once more I had to recall the
page, so that I could enter the password what was not possible at the
first attempt. If it is so difficult to adjust the unity desktop to the
radeon driver, might it be a solution to drop back to the old gnome
desktop as ubuntu still automatically does when installing on elder
weaker systems?
