I also see this problem with 11.04 and Nvidia 8600GTS on dual-screen config.
Nvidia driver version: 275.09.07

I also notice that the screen corruption appears to affect the indicator applets - corrupting some of them (i.e. hp-systray)
This is intermittent however.
