[Bug 598627] Re: driver doesn't build for kernel not running

 

Hi Daniel,

If you did the custom kernel with the vanilla kernel packaging, then you
should be getting the kernel postinst.d scripts running.  I recommend
that next time you upgrade the kernel package, add a 'set -x' to the
postisnt and record the output on the command line of the upgrade.  We
can see what happens when it tried to execute the kernel postinst.d
scripts.  It could be something as simple as a version string looking
different than DKMS expects.
