[Bug 817496] Re: Synaptics touchpad does not recognize three-fingers click

 

I found a workaround. I installed the debian package for synaptics which does not have some of the patches added.
Now I can tap and drag to select text, three finger for middle mouse button.

This is probably not the right way to do it, but it seems that this
touchpad is not compatible with the patches added in ubuntu right now.
Maybe there is an option to disable the multitouch functions, but I
could not find it.
