[Bug 134944] [NEW] Keyboard locks up randomly while typing
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I get a strange error once a day tops. I will be typing along and
suddenly the keyboard will not respond. The mouse works and the system
appears fine - I can launch programs with the mouse, shut down, etc.
But the keyboard is completely unresponsive, even the caps lock and num
lock lights fail to cycle. A restart fixes the problem. I get the same
problem using my USB keyboard or the laptop keyboard with no USB
keyboard plugged in. It only happens during typing, so I'm wondering if
some strange keypress is combo is causing it.
Any help debugging, workarounds, etc would be greatly appreciated.
My system:
HP Pavilion dv8000, Intel T2250
2gb RAM
Logitech mouse (BZ105A)
Tried with a USB keyboard as well, a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000
Kubuntu Feisty Fawn
Reiser FS + crypto
Binary Nvidia drivers
