It seems to be fixed now in Oneiric Beta 1.

$ jockey-text -l
xorg:nvidia_current - NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (Proprietary, Enabled, In use)
kmod:nvidia_current - nvidia_current (Proprietary, Disabled, Not in use)

and under Additional Drivers it now says:
This driver is activated and currently in use

Source packages (amd64):
jockey 0.9.4-0ubuntu6
nvidia-graphics-drivers 280.13-0ubuntu3
