I'd suggest putting that warning into the Xorg log (if the option is detected) and the manpage, I'm pretty sure that other users will have similar problems.

I'm already using the ITF for dual screen scaling, so I'm pretty sure that won't be a problem – will try tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback.
