[Bug 861426] Re: [Oneiric] [Regression] When disabling onboard LVDS display and just using external VGA screen corruption occurs
Ok - I think I see the same thing, and I think it's actually a gnome-
desktop problem (or, at least, is only triggered by gnome-desktop's
RANDR stuff). Can you please check whether running "xrandr --output
LVDS1 --off" successfully turns off the laptop panel without breaking
the external display?
