[Bug 576648] Re: package nvidia-* failed to install/upgrade: nvidia-* kernel module failed to build (Unable to determine the target kernel version.)
There is presently no fix for existing Ubuntu releases. You can however avoid the bug if you revert back to the kernel version that your Ubuntu release came with:
Ubuntu 10.04 --> kernel 2.6.32
Ubuntu 11.04 --> kernel 2.6.38
This bug is fixed in the new Ubuntu release 11.10, which should be
available in the next 24 hours.
