[Bug 876516] [NEW] 11.10-amd64-Alternate, hangs on bootup

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Instaledl a full fresh copy of 11.10-amd64-Alternate.
Press the on the on key the system starts and then hangs on boot up. The screen shows a few words about video not available, do not under stand that bit. Using full disk encryption via LVM.
A temporary get round is to press the Esc Key twice and then you end up at  the encryption log in screen, put password in and no further problems.
Medion Laptop P8610, with nvidia graphics.
