"Won't fix"?  Are you serious?

Of course, glxgears is not a benchmark. But if it runs with less than 1
frame per second, this indicates that something is seriously broken.

I have a rather old machine but with Natty, glxgears and OpenGL-
screensaver moved at an acceptable speed. With Oneiric, glxgears shows
less than 1 FPS and OpenGL is not usable at all. It's the same problem
when running my updated installation or the Live-CD.

Please let me know if I can provide any further information to help you
but don't call this "Won't fix".
