[Bug 410863] Re: ati kms using software rasterizer
Sorry for this inconvenience, I realized there were two other updates
that needed to be done
Setting up libdrm-radeon1 (2.4.12+git20090806.d74c67fb-0ubuntu1) ...
Setting up libgl1-mesa-dri (7.6.0~git20090805.ac3de85e-0ubuntu1) ...
after the updates were applied resolution came back to normal and here
are the commands again.
maka@maka-laptop:~$ sudo grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
(II) Loading extension MIT-SCREEN-SAVER
maka@maka-laptop:~$ glxinfo | grep render
direct rendering: Yes
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI R300 (RV515 7145) 20090101 x86/MMX/SSE2 TCL DRI2
maka@maka-laptop:/var/log$ grep AIGLX Xorg.0.log
(==) AIGLX enabled
(II) AIGLX: enabled GLX_MESA_copy_sub_buffer
(II) AIGLX: enabled GLX_SGI_swap_control and GLX_MESA_swap_control
(II) AIGLX: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap backed by buffer objects
(II) AIGLX: Loaded and initialized /usr/lib/dri/r300_dri.so
However compiz is still not working, but I will make another bug report
for that
