Please install openchrome from Karmic, and attach Xorg.log
Try to attach the Xorg.log file after GIMP freeze.


In the Karmic Koala there is openchrome revision is 758.
The latest openchrome revision is 772

You can go back to revision that you want, by type:
     svn update -r<revision>

for example:
      svn update -r762

Please check where this system freeze appears.

To do this, you must go back to the specific revision between 758 and
772,  compile, install and check if it hangs or not.
