On my machines it is still a problem in Miro. 
Ubuntu 11.10 on a Thinkpad W701.

Machine(!) crashes when playing the Google Tech Talks rather randomly.
Black screen. Mouse can be moved, but I have to do a hard reset. Sound is sometime continuing but stops later.
