[Bug 882467] Re: Xorg freeze on Dell Latitude E6320 (intel graphics) when dockstation is used
Hi Bryce,
thanks for your reply. I upgraded to oneiric and I find that the problem
is fixed. In particular, after a few days of testing, I can confirm
that:
1) the laptop can boot properly when docked (no more X freezes)
2) the monitor preferences appled works ok and appears to be stable (no more occasional freezes when switching monitors)
I am personally satisfied by this resolution, so I will close this bug.
As for backporting, I guess it would be nice in principle, but I am not
actually able to point out which exact change should be backported. So
I'll be glad to leave this decision to the maintainters.
