Message #149391
[Bug 870813] Re: Failure to detect monitor and set correct resolution
I can still reproduce this issue. It happens every time I boot the PC.
The problem does NOT occur with the same monitor and a different PC
using 11.10, but that PC has a VGA connector on the motherboard.
The fault occurs on a PC which has a DVI-I connector when driving a
monitor with a D-SUB connection. I think the problem is either related
to PCs using DVI-I, or only when such PCs connect to analogue monitors -
or possibly only when this particular Intel motherboard is used with an
analogue monitor.
As nobody else has reported this issue I think you should close it, and
use your resources elsewhere.
