[Bug 294972] Re: MASTER: xorg high cpu usage, general system sluggishness
I have Ubuntu 9.04 and when I installed Firefox 3.5 and Opera any time I
have flash streaming video cpu usage goes through the roof. My cpu fan
kicks into high gear and doesnt stop till after i restart...even when I
kill firefox or opera. Also I get random high cpu usage just from
logging in. When this happens my Xorg and Hal seem to be near the top
running at about 30%+. I tried Midori but it just crashes any time
there is flash on a website. But this is getting really
cumbersome...would really like to use Ubuntu for my Web creation
computer but if i cant even test stuff makes it kind of pointless. The
computer I am using is a dell inspiron 9200 laptop.
