[Bug 907853] [NEW] Regression: USB barcode reader output garbage
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
On Kubuntu 11.10, my barcode scanner output this for a given barcode (an ISBN of a French book):
çè_éé&é&é'-"è
On an Ubuntu 10.04, the same barcode reader for the same barcode do output this:
9782212124637
This last one is, as you guess, the correct string.
PS: a barcode reader is just like a keyboard input device; it works out
of the box (well, on an old Ubuntu 10.04 at least.
