Could you try to add the boot option drm.debug=0x05 (see http://www
.mail-archive.com/dri-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/msg41488.html for
explanation of the debug levels) and attach the output of `dmesg` with
this enabled.

Also, if you move away your ~/.config/monitors.xml, does the monitor
still flicker after login? If it does, could you attach the output of
`xrandr --verbose` for that case? If I understand correctly the screen
flickers from right after boot until right after you log in, right? I
suspect this may be connected to bug 398026, but maybe not.
