[Bug 414678] Re: [HD3870] radeonhd is not preferred to ati/radeon
** Description changed:
I expect that
dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
generate a new clean xorg.conf for video drivers. But there is not a new xorg.conf. I think it is the consequence by the change to devicekit + udev instead xorg.conf + hal.
The radeon driver works without any xorg.conf while radeonhd need a
basic xorg.conf.
If I loose my default xorg.conf I have to search through the internet to
find a default xorg.conf.
I expect that radeonhd could start without any xorg.conf too.
regards
karmic kernel 2.6.31-5
xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd 1.2.5-1
xserver-xorg-video-radeon 1:6.12.99+git20090629.f39cafc5-0ubuntu5
dpkg 1.15.3.1ubuntu1
