[Bug 405058] Re: remove tap timeout
while it's definitely true that single taps feel more responsive with a
lower timeout I have noticed that double taps are much more difficult to
perform, for example when I double tap and drag my finger to select some
text.
Furthermore touchpads may have different sensitivity. This looks to me
more like something which every user should be able to customise
according to the sensitivity of their touchpad.
If other users are affected by this problem, they can try with:
xinput set-int-prop $YOUR_DEVICE "Synaptics Tap Durations" 32 180 180 100
and change the first "180" with a lower value.
** Changed in: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu)
