i have a version that build/installs, whether it works or not is a binary thing :) 
i'll upload it in the ppa below as fglrx-installer_8.632-0ubuntu2~dinxter3

essentially it just does as hunger mentioned above, removes popd and
pushd, and alters make.sh to allow user 'nobody' to run, which is dkms.
no guerantees but works here. debdiff attached
