The upstream developers already know about a lot of these issues.
Graphical glitches for R600/700 3D are expected right now. See:
http://www.x.org/wiki/radeonhd%3Aexperimental_3D The key word is
EXPERIMENTAL ;) I'm not sure how much more the code will stabilize
before the Karmic code freeze. I'm guessing that Ubuntu will configure
mesa with software rendering on R600/700 if they want things to be
stable, even though it's slow.
