[Bug 427148] [NEW] keyboard behavior on terminal when using nvidia-185 module

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

karmic 9.10
nvidia 185.18.36-0ubuntu2

Running the latest karmic 9.10 on Dell Precision M65, which has nvidia
quadro fx 350m. The recommended nvidia driver is 185, which worked fine
in Jaunty.

Everything works fine if I use the "nv" driver in xorg.conf, but do not
get any screen effects. However, if I switch to the "nvidia" driver
(nvidia kernel module 185.18.36), all special effects are available, but
the keystrokes are not echoed on terminal and there is no output to the
terminal. It does appear that the keystrokes are being generated and
interpreted correctly (If I type "exit" the terminal closes).

The mouse works fine with either driver.

** Affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
