** Description changed:
Binary package hint: xorg
karmic koala alpha 5:
- I have a Dell Latitude D820 laptop, with a screen resolution of 1920x1600
+ I have a Dell Latitude D820 laptop, with a screen resolution of 1920x1200
But after logging in in Gnome, the resolution is 1680x1050.
Using the nvidia settings tools, I can choose "Auto" and then Apply, and then the native resolution of 1920x1600 is set.
the button Save to X configuration fle doesn;t work, because apparently there is no xorg.conf file.
Expected behaviour: X should detect the correct screen resolution of
- 1920x1600 so there should be no need to run the nvidia settings tools
+ 1920x1200 so there should be no need to run the nvidia settings tools
everytime.
